My design journey began earlier than college. I attended trade school for multimedia design in High School for two years before attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I studied Communication Design Foundation in the AAS program. The program introduced me to the diverse means and tools of visual communication, which includes; digital design, typography, and color theory. It also prepared me in multiple genres of design such as advertising and digital design, graphic design, packaging design, and spatial experience design. I went on to study Spatial Exhibition Design in the BFA program, where I carried the skills I learned in my previous studies and used them to further understand how to create an environment that will express a story visually.
